Head over to the Robert Miller Gallery to check out Patti Smith and Steven Sebring’s special collaborative project “Objects of Life,” which opened on January 6 following the PBS debut of Sebring’s documentary Patti Smith: Dream of Life on December 30. In honor and memory of the 11-year filming, this month-long exhibition showcases notable keepsakes and photographs like Smith’s Land 250 Polaroid camera, a tambourine Robert Mapplethorpe made for her, and Smith’s largest painting to date, Strange Messenger, which the film captures from the first paint stroke.

Exhibition runs through February 6, 2010. 524 West 26th Street, between 10th & 11th Avenue, NYC
